作者简介


约翰•济慈（John Keats, 1795—1821）， 英国诗人。在短暂的一生中，他写出了《希腊古瓮颂》、《夜莺颂》、《秋颂》等著名诗篇。在他看来，美就是真理，真理也就是美。他对自然有着特别的感受和想象。在相当程度上，自然之美成就了他的诗歌之美。雪莱称他为“一朵露珠培育出来的鲜花”。

On the Grasshopper and the Cricket 


The poetry of earth is never dead：

大地的诗歌永不消亡：

When all the birds are faint with the hot sun,

当炎炎烈日把百鸟晒晕，

And hide in cooling trees, a voice will run

藏进凉爽的树间，有一种声音

From hedge to hedge about the new-mown mead;

却在新割草场旁的篱笆间飘荡；

That is the Grasshopper's-he takes the lead

那是蝈蝈的嗓音，他带头歌唱


In summer luxury, he has never done

在奢华的夏日，他的欢欣

With his delights; for when tired out with fun

永无止期；当他兴头已尽

He rests at ease beneath some pleasant weed.

就去怡人的草叶下安歇。


The poetry of earth is ceasing never:

大地的诗歌永不终止:

On a lone winter evening, when the frost

在孤独的冬夜，当严霜

Has wrought a silence, from the stove there shrills

冻出一片寂静，从炉边


The Cricket's song, in warmth increasing ever，

从炉边响起蟋蟀尖声的吟唱，而炉火渐暖，

And seems to one in drowsiness half lost，

那睡意朦胧的人恍惚又听见，

The Grasshopper's among some grassy hills.

是蝈蝈歌唱在，绿草茸茸的山间。
